| Biog: | I started surfing in the Autumn/Winter of 2005/2006 In 2007, with less than 1 years experience, I tried out in a couple of local contests and didn't do so badly so I decided to do the entire Canarian Circuit in 2008. I won that circuit!! With less than 2 years of experience I became the new regional champion!!!! So I decided to the National Circuit (Spain) in 2009. 2009 was a really tough year for me, I had scoliosis and didn't know about it (an abnormal curvature of the spine) Paddling became difficult and painful and sometimes left me in tears. I found the contests and the traveling extremely difficult but I was determined and pushed myself none the less. In 2009 came 5th in all of Spain and 2nd in Canaries!! Now that I understand my condition, I am working to improve it and really noticing the difference when I'm in the water. This year I'm training hard to take back the Regional title and to get into the top 3 on the National circuit!! Hopefully this year or next I will make the European tour!!! I understand that I have come a long way and very quickly but I'm not done yet!! I believe I still have a lot more to show in the future!! |
